Welcome to Finchampstead Junior Netball Club.  We offer players from under 8 (school year 3) to under 16 (school year 11) the opportunity to learn how to play the game and develop their netball skills in a fun and safe environment.

Training takes place on Wednesday evenings at the below venues for U10s upwards and Monday evenings for U8/9s.

Wellington Health & Fitness Centre, Arborfield Green Leisure Centre, Bohunt School, St Neots School Eversley.

Training dates operate in parallel with school term dates from September to early July.

Junior Club Structure

Across our junior section we aim to provide the appropriate level of training and match play for all members.

For our younger age groups (year 3 and year 4) we focus on developing core skills via netball related games and exercises.

As players move through year 5 and 6 there is opportunity for all to participate in matches as part of the under 11 Berkshire Junior Netball League (BJNL). Matches are played on Sundays from September to March

From year 7 to year 11, players will be selected for BJNL squads. Those not selected for BJNL squads will be invited to development squads with friendly matches organised with other local clubs at least once every half term. Players in the development squads will have the opportunity to move into BJNL squads through the season.

We actively support the older girls to assist with umpiring and coaching.  There is plenty of opportunity for training and practice with the younger teams.  The Club always supports any players wishing to further their own development in either umpiring or coaching and will subsidise any courses they attend.
